Absolutely amazing dining experience at KAI in Gili Air! From start to finish everything was perfect. We were welcomed with a nice amuse-bouche, setting the tone for the evening. Starters: The scallop carpaccio was fresh and delicate, with a beautiful sauce. The wagyu tartare was simply 100% perfect, and the octopus dish was outstanding the potatoes cooked to perfection and the octopus tender. Mains: The Pepes Ikan was absolutely perfect, the Prawn “Mekalas” flavorful and tasty, and the Taliwang Chicken delicious and juicy ! with a special mention for the cinnamon pineapple, which was truly amazing. Sides: The corn was incredible such a simple dish elevated to another level. Desserts: All desserts were excellent. The chocolate lava cale paired wonderfully with the espresso martini, and with the coconut ice cream it gives different textures that worked really well. Highly recommend enjoying a margarita alongside the poached salak fantastic combination! The strawberry cheesecake was absolutely delicious ! Drinks: The Banana Sour was refreshing and unique, the white wine was well-selected, the Espresso Lombok Martini with the salted caramel was perfectly balanced (not too sweet), and the Margarita was spot on. Atmosphere: The service was warm and welcoming, and the jazz playlist created a perfect, relaxed ambiance. KAI is a true gem on Gili Air ! blending local and Mediterranean flavors with a refined touch. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable culinary experience!

If the sheer beauty of the restaurant doesn’t take your breath away the service, drinks and food definitely will. What an amazing experience. From the moment you walk in the property oozes ambience, class, warmth and beauty. The fit out has been done with passion and creativity. The attention to detail is remarkable. The staff are very professional, warm and friendly. They were totally focused on their tables ensuring every diner had a great experience. The cocktails are next level with many twists on the classic versions. The food. Where to start? The presentation of each dish was stunning and was backed up entirely by the taste. Wow. Amazing. We shared a number of dishes and were impressed by all of them. Highly recommend the Wagu starter and Lamb for main. In summary, it was an amazing experience and I highly recommend this gem of a restaurant. I can’t wait to try it again.
